Kathleen Sullivan was born in Irving, Texas, and raised in Bedford, Texas. She holds the B.A. and M.A. in English from Baylor University and the Ph.D. in English from Arizona State University. A member of the Sport Literature Association and the Society for American Baseball Research, she is the author of several reviews and articles on sport literature and Women Characters in Baseball Literature: A Critical Study (2005). In 2006 the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) named her their Outstanding Faculty Advisor. She lives in Arlington, Texas, with her husband, Johnny, and son, Connor. She works for The University of Texas at Arlington, where she is an advisor for the University Studies major and the Finish@UT program. She and her family cheer for the Baylor Bears and the Texas Rangers.. Her interests include sport literature, creative non-fiction, and developmental advising.
